Dear GLA member:

Thank you so much for your interest and participation in the GLA. We are very excited about the great things that lie ahead this year. One of the things that we are most excited about is this year’s GLA Board of Directors. We are pleased to announce to you that the 2010 GLA Board of Directors is as follows:

Carol Cockroft, Vice President, Legacy Atlanta, Inc.

Jeff Greene, Secretary, Greene Classic Limousines

Fred Rich, Treasurer, Cooper-Atlanta Worldwide Transportation Services

John Stull, Director, “PREMIER” The Limousine

Khari Dickson, Director, Divine Chariots Limousine

Tony Skelton, Director, White Glove Limousine, Inc.

Marty Fisher, Associate Board Member, Bus Group, Inc.

Chana Berry, Administrator, A-National Limousine Service, Inc.

Our board reflects a wide range of experience in the industry, as well as diversity. We would love to hear your ideas and feedback about how we can serve you and our industry. The organization’s commitment to provide educational and legislative assistance, as well as regulatory guidance, continue to be our aim. Our goal this year is simple: To provide the absolute best service to our members and our industry.

This year, we would like to focus on five very important areas:

  1. Better cooperation with the “Vehicles For Hire” bureau.
  2. Working with the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport to improve our parking and permitting processes and procedures.
  3. Continue to work with state legislators to improve laws pertaining to the limousine industry in the state of Georgia.
  4. Work to eliminate both the state sales tax, as well as ad valorem taxes for the limousine industry.
  5. Increasing our membership in the GLA.

Our next GLA meeting will be on Thursday, March 25th at 7:00 pm at the Westin Airport. We will share some valuable information about our national convention, as well as our goals for 2010.
